The Temple of Emotion shaped by Countess Bismarck!

Mona von Bismarck, an illustrious American patron and muse of great designers from Balenciaga to Givenchy, was renowned for her cosmopolitan style that defied conventions. She was recognized multiple times as the most elegant woman in the world and made this place her secondary residence.

Painted by Salvador Dali and photographed by Cecil Beaton, who nicknamed her “the crystal goddess with turquoise eyes,” the American countess inspired the greatest figures of European and transatlantic art of her time. She regularly and intimately conversed with an eclectic gallery of American personalities, including President Roosevelt, Grace Kelly, Greta Garbo, Truman Capote, Tennessee Williams, and Paul Newman.

She decided to bequeath her fortune and her sumptuous townhouse to her foundation, dedicated to promoting Franco-American friendship through artistic and cultural dialogues.

An iconic townhouse at the confluence of the arts...

Moldings, fine gold gilding, trumeau fireplaces, and noble wood parquet floors adorn the decor of this 19th-century ensemble, whose refinement invites the creation of inspired and radiant events off the beaten path. The building, designed in the style of classical French architecture, is believed to have been built in the late 19th century by the architect Jules Guichard. Its stone facade, punctuated by ionic pilasters, imposes itself on the Avenue de New York and faces the Eiffel Tower. The residence opens at the rear onto a vast, secluded reception terrace and a charming private garden. Inside, the hotel features a series of magnificent salons adorned with expertly carved antique woodwork and Chinese engravings in naturalistic Belle Époque tones, which boldly contrast with the classicism of the residence.

Upstairs, in a meeting room, a few remnants of the stunning bathroom of the icon Mona von Bismarck can still be found. In the adjoining rooms, one can still sense her library and her passion for the arts.

When elegance meets influence

Exhibitions, conferences, fashion shows, showrooms, gala evenings, press days, cocktail parties, intercultural events, film shoots, and all other formats of informal events will flourish at will in this rare gem on the banks of the Seine in Paris 16th. A townhouse that only awaits to be inhabited, and animated by the programming of multidisciplinary event sequences. A temple of sensitivity and emotion aimed at bold professional event productions. Framed by a range of carefully designed outdoor spaces, the townhouse will also host a wide variety of outdoor events in the warmer months, such as garden parties or stand-up dinners…
